Applications
utilizing Light Emitting Diodes are expanding in many areas.
LEDs or SSL differ substantially from traditional lamps in terms
of physical size, luminous intensity and flux, spatial
distribution and color rendering properties.
Electrical and Photometric Measurements of Solid-State Lighting
Products are performed in accordance with IES LM-79-08. Our 1.93
meter diameter integrating sphere and a Type C goniophotometer
are used to test SSL products.
The integrating sphere is used to measure the spectral power
distribution of the whole luminaire from which we obtain total
luminous flux, chromaticity coordinates (x, y), correlated color
temperature (CCT) in degrees Kelvin and color rendering index (CRI).
A Type C goniophotometer is used to obtain luminous intensity
values in candelas from which we can also obtain total luminous
flux. Each SSL test report includes all significant data for the
product tested together with performance data.
