Two methods are
used for measuring the total luminous flux of a lamp; the first
one uses an integrating sphere while the second uses a goniophotometer.
The sphere and its detector are used as a transfer device
between a calibrated flux lamp and the tested lamp. The goniometer measures the candela values of the whole radiation of
the lamp and the lamp lumen output is achieved by integrating
the scans.
When using the integrating sphere, the spectral radiant flux of
the tested lamp is calculated. Lumen output, color
rendering index (CRI), chromaticity (x,y) and correlated color
temperature (CCT) are performed by our own software. Ballast
factor can also be determined in comparison with a reference
ballast.
